1.
I'm looking to use some pictures off of your site for my own project.
The short answer to this is that, yes, I allow free use, with some
restrictions, of the photos I own copyright to. For manufacturer
photos, you'll have to check with them yourself. I have a page on this
with full details here
2. I'm interested in a car on your
site. Can you send me more information and pricing? With the
very rarest of exceptions, I know almost nothing about the thousands of
individual cars pictured here or who their owners might be. However,
if send me a direct, clickable link to the car you're interested in, I can
almost always tell you the year, location, and event where I took the photo.
3. I have some photos of my own car that
I'd like to get up on your site. Right now, I simply don't
have the time to add photographs from individual enthusiasts. Maybe
I'll have better options for this sometime in the future. My
apologies...
However, I do very much welcome
high-resolution photos from manufacturers, tuners, and creators/owners of
very unique automobiles.
4.
I have a question about a type of car, I need a part, etc. . Your
best option here is to either use one of the major search engines:
Or to find a forum related to your query and
post it there. There are too many forums specific to a marque or
category of cars to list here, but I will add a couple of general ones that
might be helpful:
Automotive Forums
Perhaps the largest general automotive message board
We expect to have a forum in the very near
future. If you are a member of Orkut, you might want to check out the
SeriousWheels
Community started there by Cauã Cobuci. :-)
5. Do you have posters or prints of the
various automobiles on the site? No, unfortunately that's not a
service we offer or plan to anytime in the future. On the larger
images of the site, you may be able to get an acceptable print with a
quality printer. For posters and ready-made prints, the largest
general online retailers are www.art.com
and www.allposters.com
6. I'm looking for spy pics,
industry rumors, and other automotive news. There is always a
great deal going on in the automotive world, and I've found one of the best
ways to stay on top of it is through the automotive blogs. Here are
some that I visit:
Leftlane News
An excellent automotive blog that is updated frequently and features
straightforward reporting.
Jalopnik Jalopnik
is a good resource for keeping up with both regular news and odd
happenings concerning anything car-related.
AutoBlog
Possibly the largest car blog, this a great resource for staying on top of
the automotive world.
TheCarBlog
Updated less than the other three, but still worth a look.
