Release) The new Saab 900 is launched in Trollhättan on
July 21, 1993. More than 30,000 people gather in Drottningtorget
(Queen's Square) to get a glimpse of the new car being shown
officially for the first time. Among the new features is a 2.0-litre
turbo engine, the automatic clutch systemet Saab Sensonic and an
innovative form of instrument lighting, Saab Black Panel, which
enables all unnecessary illumination to be extinguished at the touch
of a single button. Besides that, Saab offers for the first time a
car with a V6 engine as a complement to the four-cylinder power
units.
