Derived from the Ferrari Enzo and developed
for FIA GT racing, the Maserati MCC (an acronym
for Maserati Corse Competizione) should be an incredible performer, with
a power to weight ratio of approximately 4 lbs per hp. In the
first several days of testing, the car has posted a very respectable
time of 1’12”808 at the Fiorano circuit.
More of a purpose-built race car than its
sibling the Enzo, the MCC should surpass it in a number of performance
benchmarks.
The new Maserati will receive its
official presentation at Geneva in March. Stay tuned...
