Release) The Chevrolet ssR Bonneville Push Truck, which
will be used as a push truck for the 2004 Bonneville Salt Flat Speed
Record, will make its public debut at the 2004 Hot Rod Power Tour.
The truck was developed by GM Performance in collaboration with the
SoCal Speed Shop. A trademark SoCal paint scheme covers the exterior
of the ssR in bold red and white colors with composite rocker
extensions.
Under the louver hood-mounted air inlet sits a developmental GM
Powertrain, Gen IV 6.0-liter aluminum V-8 mated to a six-speed
manual transmission. MagnaFlow provides the cat-back exhaust system
equipped with aluminum exhaust tips. The SoCal Muroc aluminum alloy
wheels are 19 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear. The
custom interior features special edition graphics and a brushed
aluminum belt line trim.
