(from ART Tuning
press release) Program GL MAMMUT by A.R.T.
Among the big and powerful, A.R.T. is accompanying the new GL from
Mercedes-Benz on its triumphal march. The Nuremberg tuning
specialists have developed a still wider program of components for
upgrading this luxury vehicle. The program is named after that
behemoth of yore, the mammoth.
Dreams of strength and atavistic instincts are conjured up by the
distinctive new exterior that A.R.T. developers have given this
premium class SUV.
In the front skirt, large-nostriled air inlets, an innovative
front-grille and a wider area overall elicit the deserved respect
from obervers. A Triple Beam Lamp Set with an additional Xenon
high-beam headlight, daylight lamp in LED technology and a
dual-function unit for cornerlight and fog lights boost the charisma
of the vehicle’s front while providing the driver with that extra
passive safety for nighttime driving. The optimally proportioned new
broadened front fenders each incorporate an gill.
The modfied A.R.T. BiXENON Headlamp System NERO provides the
finishing touch to the combative front image of the already powerful
vehicle.
In the rear region, the vehicle also impresses with its broadened
fenders with gills. These incorporate red rear LED lights that are
automatically activated while any of the doors are open.
An avantgarde 5-part rear frame including an integrated roof spoiler
brilliantly enhances the design and provides more passive safety
with its wide LED brake light strip.
The A.R.T. rear skirt with an integrated diffusor gives the GL
MAMMUT a clear width advantage and, in conjunction with the A.R.T.
four-pipe sports exhaust, makes an even more powerful impression on
drivers behind. The high-polish hard-chromed 100mm tail pipe with
A.R.T. logos embossed in the tailpieces provide the seal of quality.
Two stainless-steel high-quality rear mufflers ensure the sound is
right.
The exclusive A.R.T. STEPLIGHTS project light across the running
boards whatever the light conditions and clearly mark the point of
access to the vehicle even when the doors are closed if the key is
activated. Then, parallel light-blue beam segments shine out through
the filigree openings in the highly polished stainless steel.
The light-blue illuminated Entry Ledges with the A.R.T. logo made
from finely polished and brushed stainless steel make for a
well-groomed appearance and assist entry into the vehicle.
To get you ahead: The A.R.T. engine performance for CDI versions
offers electronic performance optimization of the motor control. It
squeezes around another 20% of speed out of those already powerful
series engines. Performance optimization will be available soon for
the V6 and V8 petrol engines. More performance, better dynamics,
especially in the low speed range with lower fuel consumption. Two
unbeatable arguments for tuning the performance of your diesel
engine: your wallet and ... our environment.
The electronic A.R.T. suspension system for the series Airmatic
chassis lowers the vehicle height by 35mm and can be individually
adjusted up to 60 mm. All other built-in chassis control functions
remain unchanged.
For the wheel concept, A.R.T. proposes its 22-inch monoART1
light-alloy rims for the GL MAMMUT, with a special coating to match
the vehicle color. Matching tire sizes are available in
dimensions up to 315/30R22.
The A.R.T. sports steering wheel is ergonomically shaped and
accentuated with perforated grips. A fine selection of possible
combinations: leather/fine wood, leather/leather, leather/alcantara,
or leather/carbon fiber offer multiple variations for the interior
design of the GL cockpit. There are no limits to the
individualization that is possible.
The GL MAMMUT from A.R.T. is all in all living proof of stylish
power, sophisticated comfort, and compact design in what is a
well-proportioned departure from series culture.
