The birth of a legend!

The SLS 63 AMG is a living legend even now - there's no doubt about it. Of course this doesn't make things any easier for a Mercedes-Benz refiner. The Berlin refiner MEC Design thought long and hard on the subject of the SLS and imported one of these super sports cars from US Orlando specifically for this purpose. Now MEC Design presents a breathtaking complete conversion of unsurpassed beauty.

Of course this masterpiece includes a customised body kit. The front bumper is available in one or two pieces with attachment spoilers and optional LED inserts (optionally also carbon ones). The SLS owner has to make a difficult choice for the rear bumper, which is offered with three different diffuser inserts. Of course, it is also available in carbon. The customer can choose between the "Extreme", "Formula" and "GT3" versions. A side sill cover – on request equipped with four LEDs each – makes the silhouette more attractive.

A rear spoiler, two-part window spoiler and roof hatch complete the body set. All three elements are also available made of carbon.

For a perfectly elegant and very special look, you may choose the four mecxtreme3 wheel rims, in 10.5x20 inch and 265/30ZR20 for the front and 11.5x21 inch and 295/25ZR21 tyres for the rear wheels. On request, a combination of 11 or 11.5x20 inch front and 12.5x20 inch rear tyres is possible as well. The SLS chassis is provided with a lift-up system that enables raising the chassis by 30 millimetres at the front and rear axles on the push of a button to master obstacles like garage entrances or traffic calming elements. The threaded chassis also ensures best lowering by up to 70 millimetres.

Production of exclusive exhaust systems certainly is one of MEC Design's specialties. The system installed here is a true highlight, too. The stainless steel and sport end muffler has a gigantic, very robust and low sound even at higher revolutions. Of course, the original AMG-system can be retained – here in combination with four MEC Design end pipes.

MEC Design presents its own collection for the SLS interior. For the complete carbon interior, the middle console, door strips, boarding strips, seat covers, seat casing and compartment between the rear seats are covered in exclusive carbon fibres. Added to this is a set of MEC design floor mats with nubuk rib and double seams, as well as a carbon/alcantara sports steering wheel. Finally, the entire trunk of the SLS is bordered in alcantara and applied with a double seam and a logo.
