DBC is a PERSONAL super car design study that brings a rear mid-engine/rear-wheel drive layout to Aston Martin for the first time. Its design work was undertaken by Samir Sadikhov, young designer from Azerbaijan who won the 2nd Prize of Ferrari World Design Contest with his Xezri concept, and his key objective was to produce a thoroughly modern Aston Martin. Another aim was to ensure that the exterior layout and equipment were unique to Aston Martin and could be easily carried over into the production car.
