2016 Toyota Tacoma Back to the Future
October 21, 2015 was a date announced in the 1989 film Back to the Future Part II, and Toyota is marking the occasion by making an updated version of Marty McFly's 1985 Toyota Hi-Lux Pickup Deluxe 4x4 Xtracab.
The original Toyota had Smitty built tubular bumpers front and rear, a single tube roll bar, KC daylighters on the roof, and a virtually all-black exterior which includes the wheels and grille.
The newest Toyota Tacoma truck over 30 years later features truck paint from the 1985 Toyota, custom front and rear tubular bumpers, a custom light bar, KC lights now in LED, and vintage headlight and taillight design. They even have the mud flaps from a 1985 Toyota truck.
The off-road suspension reflects current technology, as does the new Toyota Racing Development (TRD) wheels and BF Goodrich tires.
